Workshops

Kelly works with schools and organizations to build belonging within their communities by examining language, curriculum, relationships, and systems. She works with small and large groups to look introspectively as they strive to understand the impact of their positionality, decisions, and choices. Kelly supports schools and organizatons to build belonging through the adoption of anti-bias practices.

To further build a sense of belonging for all students, Kelly facilitates the process of implementing a more choice-based, student-centered, integrated, and creative approach to teaching and learning that allows students to bring their full selves to the classroom. She supports schools to identify project-based making opportunities within their curriculum, developing alternative assessment models for making, and examining schedules to support this type of work.

“Kelly helped us reconnect with critical pedagogy concepts and reflect upon our role as teachers and, most importantly, the role of our students as teachers.”

— Bea Garcia, Assistant Head for Academic Programs, Northfield Mount Hermon School

“Kelly is an exceptional school leader and her skill set is vast and deep. She’s dedicated her career to teaching and learning and can put into practice all her knowledge and experience with children and families. She’s forward-thinking, invested in the growth and development of all young people, and brings a sense of fun to her work. And just as important, she can bring teams together and support teachers to do their best work running institutions that are transformative on the individual as well as the community level.“

— Jessica Acee, Director of Student Leadership and Activities, St. Mary's Academy
