Making Space Consulting - Global Experience, Locally Available
SRIMP Facilitators Handbook

I wrote this book while I was doing Strategic Information Resources Management Planning (SIRMP - pronounced "Shrimp") for the United States Coast Guard. While the book was written in 1990, the principles it espouses are as relevant as ever, because it doesn't say what a strategic IRM plan should look like, but how you should go about mining the wisdom of an organization to find out what their SIRMP should look like.

This is the complete text of the book, providing background on the approach, prework, and full designs for each workshop. The table of contents is provided below.

For some, the most useful information is contained in the first four chapters: approach, teaming, prework, and the strategic focusing workshop. These four chapters are available as an extract upon request.
